POPLARVILLE, Miss. — Back by popular demand, Pearl River coach Ted Egger announced Thursday plans have been finalized for the 2nd Wildcat Football Golf Tournament.
The tournament is set for June 7 at Picayune's Millbrook Golf and Country Club. Registration is at 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. tee time.
"I'm fired up about the tournament," Egger said. "We had a great turnout last year and we really want to exceed those numbers this year."
The tournament is a perfect opportunity for former Wildcats and the community to see what the current squad is up to.
"We had a good amount of alumni there last year and that's the biggest thing," Egger said. "I'd like to get as many alumni out as possible. It's an opportunity for alumni to come back and get reinvolved with what we're doing.
"This program is built on the hard work and success of the alumni. We want to get back to what they accomplished. They paved the road."
There's an $80 cost per player or $300 per four-person team. The fee includes lunch, dinner, golf cart and beverages with prizes for first, second and third place. Hole, tournament and season sponsorships are also available for $100, $600 and $1,200.
Proceeds go to support the PRCC football program.
The rainout date is June 14.
