ELLISVILLE – Jones College will play four of its first five football games on the road in 2019.
Head coach Steve Buckley's Bobcats open the season at 7 p.m. on Aug. 29 in Clarksdale vs. Coahoma Community College. The following week the Bobcats play at Goodman at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 vs. Holmes Community College.
The first game at Bobcat Stadium/Sim Cooley Field will also be the first MACJC South Division game as the Bobcats host Hinds Community College at 7 p.m. on Sept. 12. That will be the annual Hall of Fame Game with new inductees into the Jones College Sports Hall of Fame being introduced.
Jones visits Mississippi Gulf Coast at 7 p.m. on Sept. 19 and Southwest Mississippi at 7 p.m. on Sept. 26.
Homecoming will take place at 2 p.m. on Oct. 5 when the Bobcats host Pearl River Community College. Jones will host Northeast Mississippi at 7 p.m. on Oct. 10 and will play its final road game at 3 p.m. on Oct.19 at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
The Bobcats end regular season play at 7 p.m. on Oct. 24 at home vs. East Central Community College.
The first round of the MACJC playoffs will be on Nov. 2 and the MACJC championship game is Nov. 9.
The Bobcats claimed the MACJC South Division championship in 2018 and ended the season at 10-2 and ranked No. 5 in the nation after beating Eastern Arizona 27-7 in the Mississippi Bowl.
