East Central Warriors kicker Robens Beauplan chooses Alcorn State as his next stop in his collegiate career.
In 2019 as a freshman, Beauplan was 9-for-9 on field goals; 14-of-17 on extra points and was named to the NJCAA special teams All- America first team.
In the 2020 shortened season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Beauplan made 4 of 6 field goals including the clutch kick in overtime against Co-Lin on October 29th to win the game. Beauplan was 7/7 in extra points in five games played.
"I'm excited about my commitment to Alcorn. They've been with me and have showed that they're really interested in me since last year. They pulled the trigger and offered a scholarship to me this year and I've been considering them since then. They have a winning atmosphere. They are a family there. So after praying about it, I felt that they're the best fit for me. I can't wait to put that jersey with Alcorn on my chest," said Beauplan.
Beauplan was responsible for kickoffs, punts, and field goals for East Central. "He is by far the best punter we've had here at East Central and is an above average place kicker", said East Central head coach Ken Karcher.
