ELLISVILLE – The Jones College tennis teams split with Hinds here Monday afternoon at the Howard Sports Complex/Bobcat Tennis Courts.
The No. 18 Lady Bobcats defeated the Lady Eagles, 8-1. Jones is now 15-1 on the season.
The No. 18 Hinds men beat the Bobcats, 6-3. Jones falls to 12-5 on the year.
The Bobcats will go to Mississippi Gulf Coast on Tuesday and host Holmes at 2 p.m. Wednesday in its final home match of the season. The regular season ends with a match at Itawamba on Friday.
Hinds entertains East Central on Tuesday.

Jones swept the doubles points.
Mireia Jordan (Spain) and Ariadna Jordan (Spain) beat Paula Gutierrez and Danna Gonzalez, 8-2. Dixie Lei Hodges (Laurel Christian School) and Carley Cochran (Wayne County) beat Anna Hayden Taylor and Aryelle Grace Waters in No. 2 doubles, 8-4. Judith Mills (Pontotoc) and Danielle Viljoen (Jackson) downed Madison Curtis and Courtney Buffington in No. 3 doubles, 8-5.
Mireia Jordan beat Gutierrez in No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-4 and Ariadna Jordan whipped Gonzalez in No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-1. Viljoen downed Curtis in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-2. Hodges defeated Taylor in No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-4 and Mills beat Buffington in No. 6 singles, 6-2, 7-5. Sarrah Der-Ballout (MSMS) lost to Waters in No. 4 singles, 2-6, 2-6.
Hinds is now 6-8 on the season.

Erich Fischer (Wesson) and Jacob Johnson (North Pike) downed Bryce Livingston and Chris Adams in No. 2 doubles, 8-5. In No. 1 doubles, Jordi Morey (Spain) and Noel Monsalve (Venezuela) lost to Carlos Trujillo and Mateo Garcia, 5-8. In No. 3 doubles, James McWilliams (Northwest Rankin) and Cody Courtney (Florence) lost 6-8 to Eric Holmes and Drew Rexrode.
Monsalve defeated Garcia in No. 2 singles, 6-4, 7-6, 10-5 and Johnson whipped Livingston in No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-0. Morey fell to Trujillo in No. 1 singles, 0-6, 2-6 and Fischer lost to Holmes in No. 3 singles, 1-6, 2-6. Courtney lost to Chris Adams in No. 5 singles, 6-3, 2-6, 6-10 and McWilliams dropped a 7-6 (6), 5-7, 2-10 decision to Rexrode in No. 6 singles.
Hinds improves to 13-2.
